Russia: KGOK output up in H1 2017

In January-June Korshunovsky Mining and Processing Works increased iron ore concentrate output by 5% YoY, or by 66 thousand tons, to 1.4 million tons.

Ore mining exceeded 4 million tons, with 1.9 million tons yielded by the Korshunovsky quarry and 2.2 million tons by the Rudnogorsky mine. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Globus-Stal starts producing stainless pipes

Globus-Stal has put into operation a new manufacturing line to produce electric-welded pipes of stainless steel.

The company has already made its first order – the 6-meters long pipe with 16 mm diameter and 1 mm wall thickness.

Globus-Stal is able to produce 16-60.3 mm diameter pipes with wall thickness of 0.4-3 mm. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Raspadskaya processes 100 million tons of coal

The Raspadskaya Processing Factory has processed 100 million tons of coal, since it has been put into operation.

The factory started operating in 2005. The enterprise processes coal of 0-300 mm classes.

Russia: Lebedinsky GOK puts new HBI complex into operation

Metalloinvest has put the new hot-briquetted iron complex (HBI-3) into operation at the Lebedinsky Mining and processing Works.

Investments totaled $660 million.

The HBI-3 capacity is 1.8 million tons per year. When the complex reaches its project capacity, the GOK will be able to produce 4.5 million tons of HBI per year. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: UGOK concentrate output up in June 2017

In June Yuzhniy Mining and Processing Works produced 997.4 thousand tons of concentrate, up by 12.8% YoY.

According to the company statement, sinter output dropped by 9.3%, to 150.3 thousand tons.

In January-June UGOK increased concentrate production by 12.5% YoY, to 6.082 million tons, sinter output fell by 3.2%, to 893.1 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Sibcable increases copper and aluminum consumption

In January-June Sibcable processed 7.5 thousand tons of copper, up by 15.5% YoY.

Aluminum processing reached 1.5 thousand tons, up by 48% YoY.
