Belarus: mining output down in 2016

In 2016 volumes of industrial output in Belarus totaled Br79.4 billion, down by 0.4% YoY.

According to the National Statistics Committee, output volumes in mining industry reached 99.3%, in processing – 99.9%.

In December 2016 industrial output increased by 5.1% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: CAM copper output up in 2016

In 2016 Central Asia Metals produced 14.02 thousand tons of copper, up by 16.1% YoY.

According to the company statement, in Q4 copper output dropped by 17.8% YoY, to 3.01 thousand tons.

Copper sales in 2016 increased by 15.8% YoY, to 13.938 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Corum Group completes headgear deliveries for ArcelorMittal Temirtau

On January 16, Corum Group completed the delivery of headgear to ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

According to the company statement, the lot comprised 4 units of machinery, with the first produced and delivered in November 2016.

Ukraine: electricity consumption by metal companies in 2016

In 2016 Ukrainian metal companies increased electricity consumption by 0.02% YoY, to 28.76 billion kW-h.
