Ukraine: Ternovskaya mine puts new long face into operation

Ternovskaya mine has put a new long face into operation.

Its length is 221 meters. The average daily coal output at the face is expected to exceed 2 thousand tons.

The coal reserves at the face will last for 1.5 year. DTEK investments into the long face totaled 78.5 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: coal exports up in 2016

In 2016 Russia exported 163.58 million tons of coal, up by 16.54% YoY.

According to the Ministry of energy, in December 2016 coal exports totaled 14.238 million tons.
