Russia: nickel exports down in January-July 2017

In January-July Russia exported 81.7 thousand tons of raw nickel valued at $768 million, down by 29% and by 23.3% YoY respectively.

These are also the lowest results for the past 10 years.

In July the average price for nickel was $9179 per ton FOB Russian border, down by 5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Interpipe to supply gas to its enterprises

Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Pipe-Rolling Plant has obtained a license to supply gas.

The corresponding decision has been taken by the National commission on energy and housing services regulation.

As of September 1, 318 licenses to supply gas have been given by the commission. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: NLMK shareholders approve dividends for Q2 2017

At the Extraordinary General Shareholder Meeting (EGM) held on September 29, NLMK shareholders approved payment of Q2 dividends of RUB 3.20 per share.

The date upon which the shareholders entitled to Q2 dividends will be determined was set as October 12.

Ukraine: Lisichanskugol orders coal processing

Lisichanskugol (Lugansk region) has ordered the Komsomolskaya Central Processing Factory the processing of 82.1 thousand tons of coal for 7.74 million UAH.

The services were ordered following 2 auctions.

Russia: Sibcable starts producing mine cable according to new requirements

Sibcable has started producing the HoldMine mine cable, which corresponds to the new requirements of Rostechnadzor.

The new requirements dictate using mine cables with improved characteristics.

Russia: KUZOTsM deliveries to machine-builders up

Kamensk-Uralsk Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Works has increased sales to Russian machine-building companies.

In January-August sales grew by 1.5 thousand tons, or by 71% YoY.

Rolled brass and copper account for 90% of sales, rolled bronze share is 8%.

Kazakhstan ready for consultations with Ukraine in WTO over duties on steel pipes
