Russia: Mechel reports changes in management

Igor Khafizov has been appointed CEO of Mechel-Mining.

He has replaced Pavel Shtark, who has been appointed the Mechel deputy CEO on prospective development.

Khafizov has been working for Mechel for 27 years. Since 2017 he has been Mechel-Mining deputy CEO.

Ukraine: metal companies increase limestone consumption in H1 2019

Delivery of limestone to industrial companies via railroad in January-June increased by 7% YoY, to 5.6 million tons.

In May deliveries grew by 22%, to 1.1 million tons, the highest growth since the start of the year.

Metal industry increased purchases by 7%.

Russia: Polymetal processing works in Krasnoturyinsk to be commissioned in 2022

The Krasnoturyinsk-Polymetal LLC managing director Andrey Lisitsin has named new period when the processing works in the Krasnoturyinsk advanced development territory will be constructed. Ukraine: coal imports down in H1 2019

In January-June Ukraine imported 10.5 million tons of coal valued at $1.476 billion, down by 4.2% YoY.

According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia accounted for 62.4% of deliveries.
