Russia: tungsten raw materials exports duty postponed

The restoration of the 10% tungsten ore and concentrates export duty, scheduled for September, has been postponed till the end of the year.

Thus the current 0% duty will be valid through December 31.

The export duty was imposed in 2013. In 2016 after requests from manufacturers it was temporarily cancelled. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Vorkutaugol sets coking coal-processing record

Vorkutaugol, one of the major coalmining companies in Russia, has processed a record of 135 thousand tons of coking coal in a month.

Russia: UEM copper sulfate output up in January-August 2017

In January-August Uralelectromed produced 31 thousand tons of copper sulfate, up 1.6-fold YoY.

The output increase has to do with the favorable market situation, flexible marketing policy of the company and the constant replacement of equipment.
