Ukraine: Metinvest buying DKKhZ issue review postponed

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has postponed the review of the issue of Metinvest buying over 50% in Dneprovsky By-Product Coke Plant.

The Committee had to review the issue on April 11.

Belarus: BMZ exports up in Q1 2019

In January-March Belarus Iron and Steel Works increased exports by 131% YoY, to 554 thousand tons, valued at $310 million, up by 112%.

Exports geography grew by 2 countries, to 50.

Ukraine: nickel ore imports down in Q1 2019

In January-March, Ukraine decreased nickel ore and concentrate imports by 13.8% YoY, to 266.653 thousand tons valued at $12.696 million, down by 13.7%.

According to the State Fiscal Service, Guatemala accounted for 60.62% of supplies and Indonesia – for 39.38%.

Ukraine: Stalkanat-Silur net profit up in 2018

In 2018 Stalkanat-Silur received 160.18 million UAH of net profit, up by 7.6% YoY.

EBITDA grew by 17.5%, to 174.96 million UAH.

Net income increased by 29.2%, to 2.44 billion UAH.

Russia: Yerkovetsky coal output up in Q1 2019

In January-March, Yerkovetsky pit mined 42 thousand tons of coal more than last year.

The capacity of the pit is expected to increase to 2.5 million tons of coal per year.
