Ukraine: metal companies increase gas consumption in November 2017

In November Ukrainian metal companies consumed 165 million cubic meters of gas, up by 10% MoM.

According to Ukrmetallurgpromgas, in 11 months gas consumption grew by 3% YoY, to 1.6 billion cubic meters.

Metal companies also consumed 10.5 billion kW-h of electricity, down by 11%. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: metal transshipment in ports down in January-November 2017

In January-November Russian seaports increased throughput by 9% YoY, to 716.7 million tons.

According to the Association of Sea Trade Ports, coal throughput went up by 13.3% YoY, to 141.1 million tons, while that of ferrous metals dropped by 1.6%, to 25.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: metal prices up in August 2017

In August prices of industrial products increased by 0.4% MoM and by 23.6% YoY.

According to the State Statistics Service, iron ore prices increased by 6.6%, coal by 6%, in metal manufacture by 2.8%.

Russia: metal companies get preferences from Railroads
