In August metal companies consumed 150 million cubic meters of natural gas, up by 3% MoM.

In 8 months 1230 million cubic meters were consumed, up by 11%.

Russia: Sortstal going bankrupt

The Arbitrary court of Sverdlovsk region will consider the claim of Sortstal on being declared bankrupt.

The court received the relevant document on August 24.

According to it, the volume of claims is 49.87 million rubles.

In July Ukrainian metal companies consumed 145 million cubic meters of natural gas, on the level of the previous month.

In 7 months gas consumption grew by 11%, to 1.08 billion cubic meters.

In January-May Ukrainian metal companies increased electricity consumption by 10% YoY, to 4.93 billion kW-h.

In May natural gas consumption remained on the April level – 140 million cubic meters.

Russia: coal railroad transportation down in May 2018

In May the Northern Railroads transported 5.114 million tons of cargo, up by 3.1% YoY.

In particular, ferrous metals transportation increased by 2.6%, to 3.9 million tons.

Russia: coal, ferrous metals and iron ore railroad transportation up in May 2018

In May West-Siberian Railroad transported 27 million tons of cargo, up by 4.2% YoY and by 14.5% from May 2016.

Coal transportation increased by 3.7% YoY, to 20.8 million tons.
