Russia: TMK revenue up in H1 2018

In Q2 TMK received $1.355 billion, up by 6% QoQ.

Revenue in H1 grew by 28% YoY, to $2.628 billion.

EBITDA in Q2 increased by 23% QoQ, to $197 million and by 30%, to $357 million in H1.

Ukraine: ZZF output down in January-July 2018

In January-July Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant decreased output by 7.9% YoY, to 143.5 thousand tons.

In particular, silicomanganese manufacture dropped by 3.4%, to 70.62 thousand tons, ferrosilicon – by 14.5%, to 46.28 thousand tons and ferromanganese – by 6.9%, to 22.14 thousand tons.

Russia: STZ profits down in H1 2018

In January-June Sinarsky Pipe Works received 337.76 million rubles of net profit, down 3-fold YoY.

Net profit in Q2 exceeded 243.7 million rubles, up from 94 million rubles in Q1.

Revenue in H1 reached 21.44 billion rubles, up by 16% YoY.

Ukraine: NZF output up in January-July 2018

In January-July Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant increased output by 8.6% YoY, to 469.88 thousand tons.

In particular, silicomanganese manufacture grew by 14.6%, to 442.73 thousand tons, but ferromanganese production fell by 54.7%, to 20.85 thousand tons.

Russia: one killed and one injured in Sverdlovsk region mine collapse

The Severopeschanskaya coal mine in Sverdlovsk region town of Krasnoturyinsk collapsed on August 15 killing one miner and injuring another, a spokesperson for the Emergency Ministry’s local branch reported.

The injured miner was delivered to hospital, but refused to be hospitalized.
