Russia: Dalur to increase uranium output

In 2016 Dalur mined 591 tons of uranium in Kurgan region.

The gradual putting of Dobrovolnoye deposits into operation by 2025 will allow the enterprise to increase output to 700 tons per year.

Ukraine: Yuzhkoks finds new customers

Evraz Yuzhkoks, uniting Bagley and Kamenskoye (earlier – Dneprodzerzhinsk) coke plants, has started shipping products to Turkey. Russia: Ferrum starts producing rebar mesh

In July Ferrum started producing heavy rebar mesh. The company is capable of producing 700 tons of mesh per month.

The mesh is manufactured according to GOST 23279-2012 of V500S f6-f9 and A500S f10-f12 rebars.

This heavy mesh is used in construction: foundation works, tunnel and bridge construction, foundation pit walls reinforcement, etc. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Evraz steel output down in Q2 2017

U.K.-based mining giant Evraz, which operates mainly in Russia, has cut its steel production by 9.5% QoQ, to 3.328 million tons in April-June, the company said in a statement on July 19.

Russia: ferrous metals and coal throughput in ports up in H1 2017

In January-June Russian seaports transshipped 384 million tons of cargo, up by 11.3% YoY.

According to the Association of sea trade ports, coal throughput increased by 16.2%, to 75.1 million tons, and of ferrous metals – by 0.1%, to 14.6 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: ferrous metals imports via railroad up in H1 2017

In January-June the Russian Railroads transported 41.6 million tons of ferrous metals, up by 2.8% YoY.

Local transportation amounted to 21.8 million tons, up by 1.4% YoY.

International transportation increased by 4.3%, to 9.8 million tons. Imports accounted for 2.5 million tons, up by 60%, exports dropped by 0.5%, to 16.61 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
