Russia: coal exports in 2017 to increase

In 2017 coal companies of Russia plan to export 175 million tons of coal, up by 10 million tons YoY.

In 2016 Russia mined 385 million tons of coal, with Kuzbass region yielding 227.4 million tons. 165 million tons were exported. (Ukrainian metal)

Uzbekistan: Almalyk GOK finds new products

In 2016 Almalyk Mining and Processing Works manufactured an industrial machine to produce coal briquettes. The further works is underway.

In January the works produced and assembled 5 new machines. By May the company plans to have produced 61 units.

Almalyk Mining and Processing Works started manufacturing new product – copper wire.

The output at the shop will reach 5 thousand tons of copper wire per year with the diameter of 1-4.5 mm.
