Ukraine: SevGOK repairs pelletizing machine

Severniy Mining and Processing Works has put into operation a Lurgi 552 A pelletizing machine in the pellets shop No. 2 after essential repairs.

The cost of the project was 84 million UAH.

Other pelletizing machinery will also be repaired at SevGOK. The project will cost some 400 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: major tin deposit development starts

Tin Ore Mining has started developing the Syrymbet deposit in the North-Kazakhstan region.

Investments in the development will reach 4 billion tenge.

The project will be completed until 2021.

Syrymbet is the largest undeveloped tin deposit in the world. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: NLMK-Kaluga produces 7 million tons of steel

NLMK-Kaluga has produced 7 million tons of steel.

The works was commissioned in July 2013 in the Vorsino industrial park close of Moscow, the largest construction market in Russia.

The company uses high-quality steel to manufacture some 20 types and sizes of bars and sections, as well as square billets. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: CherMK sales up in April 2019

In April, Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works increased sales by 2.4% YoY, to 780 thousand tons.

In January-April sales dropped by 0.4%, to 3.3 million tons.

Sales to domestic customers grew by 25%, to 2.24 million tons, while exports fell by 30.4%, to 1.05 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Ferrexpo to squeeze-out PGOK minor shares

Ferrexpo AG will squeeze out Poltava Mining and Processing Works shares from minority shareholders.

The price of each share will be 34.24 UAH with their nominal cost of 9.96 UAH.

Ferrexpo AG owns 189,313.087 million ordinary shares, or 99.11% of PGOK. (Ukrainian metal)
