Russia: Ormet replenishes machine fleet

This year Ormet will buy four new dump trucks, a truck crane, forklift truck as well as crawler-mounted and wheeled excavators.

Investments will reach 76 million rubles.

The company has already received 4 dump trucks and a dump-trailer.

Russia: MMK-LMZ QMS efficiency confirmed

MMK – Lysva Iron and Steel Works LLC has successfully passed a supervisory audit of the quality management system for compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and the IATF 16949:2016.

Russia: copper ore imports down in April 2019

In April Russia imported 15.7 thousand tons of copper ore and concentrate, down by 68.7% MoM and by 64% YoY.

The price in April dropped by 9.6%, to $1222 per ton.

In 4 months copper ore imports decreased by 22.6% YoY, to 153.4 thousand tons. But in monetary terms they grew by 11%. (Ukrainian metal)

In April Russia exported 22.8 thousand tons of zinc ore and concentrate up by 136.6% MoM and by 54.7% YoY.

In 4 months exports grew by 9.9% YoY, to 87.8 thousand tons.

Russia: ferrous metals throughput at NMTP up in January-April 2019

In January-April the consolidated throughput of Nakhodka Sea Trade Port terminals totaled 46.636 million tons, up by 0.3% YoY.

Ferrous metals and pig iron accounted for 4.571 million tons, up by 3.4%.

Non-ferrous metals throughput dropped by 21.2%, to 0.292 million tons.
