Russia: gold output up in January-August 2017

In January-August Russia increased raw and powder gold output by 8.7% YoY.

Russia: metal wares prices to increase in October 2107

In October prices of low-carbon steel metal wares are expected to increase by 1-2 thousand rubles per ton.

In particular, price of bolts and nuts will increase by 10%, sheet-metal screws of Russian and Belarus make – by 2-3%.

Russia: NLMK-Kaluga produces 3 million tons of rolled metal

The new-generation electrometallurgical plant NLMK-Kaluga has produced the 3-millionth ton of rolled metal.

The company capacity is 1.5 million tons of steel and 0.9 million tons of rolled metal per year.

Ukraine: Zaporizhstal repairs BF No. 3

The department of the State Architectural-Construction Inspection in Zaporozhye region has accepted the reconstruction of the blast furnace No. 3 of Zaporizhstal.

Reconstruction allowed increasing the blast furnace capacity to 1050 thousand tons of pig iron per year.

The size of the reconstruction site is 8.5 hectares. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Azovstal blows up blast furnace

Azovstal Iron and Steel Works has initiated explosion works to disassemble a blast furnace.

“The blast furnace No. 3 disassembly is carried out within the reconstruction project”, the company informed.
