Russia: CherMK sales up in April 2019

In April, Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works increased sales by 2.4% YoY, to 780 thousand tons.

In January-April sales dropped by 0.4%, to 3.3 million tons.

Sales to domestic customers grew by 25%, to 2.24 million tons, while exports fell by 30.4%, to 1.05 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Ferrexpo to squeeze-out PGOK minor shares

Ferrexpo AG will squeeze out Poltava Mining and Processing Works shares from minority shareholders.

The price of each share will be 34.24 UAH with their nominal cost of 9.96 UAH.

Ferrexpo AG owns 189,313.087 million ordinary shares, or 99.11% of PGOK. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: antidumping investigation on hot-deformed pipes from China started

Ukraine has started an antidumping investigation on the import of steel seamless hot-deformed pipes from China.

The investigation was initiated by Interpipe Niko Tube.

The Ministry of Economical Development and Trade has been tasked with the investigation. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: KMEZ assembles new cranes in copper foil shop

Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant has assembled two bridge remote-controlled cranes in its copper foil shop, which is currently under construction.

The new machinery with the lifting capacity of 10 tons was produced by Verta.

When the two cranes are commissioned, the two old 5-ton cranes will be disassembled. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: State Fiscal Service has claims to Metinvest GOKs

On May 15, the Dnepr District Administrative Court opened a case on the Severniy Mining and Processing Works demanding the Office of major taxpayers of the State Fiscal Service to cancel its decision to increase income tax by 112.8 million UAH. Central GOK sues the office because of the tax increase by 106.1 million UAH.…
