Russia: Primorye to limit scrap exports

The people deputies of Primorye region have discussed the appeal of the regional port authorities to limit exports of ferrous metals scrap.

Kazakhstan: AMTPA gets new CEO

Magamed Ibragimov has been appointed CEO and CFO of ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Aktau.

He has previously held the position of the acting CFO at ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

Russia: Russky Ugol power coal output up in January-September 2017

In January-September the miners of Stepnoy pit, a part of Russky Ugol, yielded over 3.1 million tons of power-generating coal.

Since the pit has been put into operation, it has mined 57 million tons of coal.
