Russia: metal transshipment in ports down in January-November 2017

In January-November Russian seaports increased throughput by 9% YoY, to 716.7 million tons.

According to the Association of Sea Trade Ports, coal throughput went up by 13.3% YoY, to 141.1 million tons, while that of ferrous metals dropped by 1.6%, to 25.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Russkaya Platina output in January-November 2017

In January-November the Amur artel, one of the Far Eastern enterprises of Russkaya Platina, obtained 1274 kg of platinum.

Amur Zoloto yielded 977.6 kg of gold and 633.8 kg of silver.

Alluvial gold sites of Buor and Ulakhan obtained 457.4 kg of gold.

Total gold output in 11 months reached 1444.6 kg. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: MMK-Metiz investment program approved

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works board of directors has approved of the investment program for MMK-Metiz.

Capital investments will total 3.8 billion rubles. The program is intended to run through 2020.

Russia: TMK to increase pipes sales

In 2017 TMK intends to sell 3.8 million tons of pipes and in 2018 – 4.3 million tons.

Ukraine: Evraz gives 95% in Evraz Yuzhkoks to Dashuria

Evraz has transferred 94.96% of Evraz Yuzhkoks shares, previously owned by Palmrose B. V,. to Dashuria.

Both Dashuria and Palmrose are Evraz daughter companies.

In 2016 Evraz Yuzhkoks received 61.1397 million UAH of net profit, down 3.5-fold YoY, while its net income rose by 11.22%, to 2.763 billion UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
