Interpipe is expanding its presence on the European market by supplying pipes for specialized projects, in particular, it has started supplying pipes for salt mines in Italy.
One of the specialized projects is being carried out in the Pisa province. For the project the company has started supplying casing pipes with the diameter of 127 mm made according to API 5CT.
The pipes will be used in the local salt industry.
Salt extraction in the region dates back thousand years, with the industrial-scale output carried out for the past 100 years. The extraction process starts with drilling relatively not deep shafts designed with the use of seamless casing pipes and compressor-pump pipes made of steel with specific strength and corrosion resistance.
Interpipe says the European market has become its “home” market lately. To meet specific demands of EU customers, the company has produced and supplied more than 250 new pipe types. (Ukrainian metal)
