Russia: OMZ-Spetsstal starts shipping reactor billets for Ruppur NPP

OMZ-Spetsstal has started shipping reactor vessel billets for the first power unit of Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant in Bangladesh.

Under the contract concluded in September 2017, the company will supply billets for the construction of the reactor vessel.

So far, the flange, lower shell and the support shell billets have been shipped. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Dneprometiz boasts new winding method

Dneprometiz has started producing low-carbon steel wire with the diameter of 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 mm according to GOST 3282-64 with a new winding technique.

The main characteristic of the winding is the special form and weight of the coil – 200 g.

Belarus: BMZ decreasing air pollution

In January-June Belarus Iron and Steel Works decreased air pollution by 8%, or by 347 tons YoY.

Soon the company will begin reconstruction of the aspiration units Nos. 2 and 3.

Last year the company took 12 environment-related measures.

This year it is planned to take 19 measures valued at $225 thousand. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: metal structures output up in January-July 2018

In January-July Russia produced 3.3 million tons of steel structures, up by 1.3% YoY.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, July output grew by 2.7% YoY, but dropped by 5.4% MoM.

Aluminum structures manufacture in 7 months totaled 34 thousand tons, down by 2.5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)

The assets of the Revyakinsky Iron and Steel Works in Tula region are being arrested.

According to the local media, the enterprise is being raided.
