According to the first deputy chairman of the Lviv region state administration Rostislav Zamlinsky, Lvivugol miners have already yielded 7867 tons of coal in 2016.
In 2015 Donetsk region exports fell 2.4 times YoY. The region exported to 98 countries as opposed to 122 countries in 2014. Exports to European markets decreased by 38.3%.
In January-November 2015 Dniepropetrovsk region sold 264 billion UAH of goods, with 61% owing to processing industry and 24% – to mining.
In December 2015 ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih and Zaporizhstal received the most VAT reimbursement among metal companies – 1.028 and 1.018 billion UAH respectively.
Lviv region miners have been on strike since January 2, as they haven’t been paid salary for 2 months. If the debt is not cleared this week, they will block international roads. They agreed to wait for money until January 9.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to close the Severnaya mine in Donetsk region belonging to the state enterprise Dzerzhinskugol.
On December 29, 2015 the Yuzhni port completed loading coal for Tripolskaya thermal power station. The next batch of coal (85 thousand tons) from South Africa is expected to arrive at the end of January.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine informs that certain documents to pay salary to miners are being prepared.
In 2015 Zaporizhstal implemented the program of energy saving and energy efficiency, which allowed it to save 195 million UAH.
In December 2015 the Dneprodzerzhinsk city council adopted a new ecological program. But the ecology activists think it needs reworking.
On January 4, Lvivugol Velikomostovskaya mine workers refused to go under the earth until their salary debts were cleared.
In January-November 2015 Ukrainian thermal power stations consumed 26.61 million tons of coal, down by 18.1% YoY.
