Russia: scrap deliveries to MMK up in January-September 2018

In September direct railroad deliveries of ferrous scrap to MMK grew by 11% YoY, to 258.7 thousand tons.

According to the railroad statistics, in 9 months deliveries totaled 1.36 million tons, up by 3.6%.

Elgaugol LLC has commissioned a weighing control unit.

The unit is used to weigh loaded trucks.

Russia: Polyus gold output up in Q3 2018

The gold production of Russia’s Polyus increased by 15% QoQ, to 691,200 ounces in July-September, the company said in a statement on October 16.

In January-September the output rose by 14% YoY, to 1.8 million ounces.

According to the customs statistics, in January-September sales reached 5.97 million tons, up by 4.6% YoY.
