Russia: KMZ to supply pig iron to Minsk Tractor Works

KMZ has won a tender to supply pig iron to Minsk Tractor Works (Belarus), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tractors.

In Q1 the company will ship 9 thousand tons of pig iron castings to the Belarus works.

Ukraine: DTEK coal deliveries to TPPs up in December 2017

In December 2017 DTEK Energo increased coal deliveries to its thermal power plants by 4.5% MoM, to 1.9 million tons.

According to the company statement, last month DTEK supplied 1.5 million tons of gas coal, on the level of November 2017.

Ukraine: Metinvest pays interest on eurobonds

Metinvest has paid $6.509 million of interest on eurobonds with maturity in 2021.

According to the company statement, $3.69 million were spent on paying loans on pre-export financing.

After the payment the total debt of the group on eurobonds is $1.187 billion. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Finance Ministry to increase sanctions for illegal precious metals mining

The Ministry of Finances suggests increasing the volume of sanctions for the breach of precious metals and stones mining, using and storing rules. The maximum fines for companies and individual entrepreneurs could increase 5-fold, to 250 thousand rubles, for officials – 4.7-fold, to 70 thousand rubles. Russia: KMZ ferromanganese output and sales up in 2017

In 2017 Kosaya Gora Iron and Steel Works sold 63.6 thousand tons of ferromanganese, up almost by 8 thousand tons YoY.

Ukraine: Pervomayskugol gets loan to open new long face

The Cabinet of Ministers has provided the state enterprise Pervomayskugol with the state guarantees for the loan of 2276.2 million UAH.

The funds will be used to commission the new long face at the Gorskaya mine.
