Russia: titanium output down in January-August 2016

In January-August raw titanium output decreased by 2.71% YoY.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, titanium alloys output went up by 13.4%.

In August raw titanium output dropped by 2.6% YoY, while that of titanium alloys increased by 14.8%. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: coke output down in August 2016

In August bulk 6% moisture coke output increased by 1.2% MoM, or by 13 thousand tons, to 1085 thousand tons.

In January-August Ukraine produced 8653 thousand tons of coke, up by 17.6% YoY, or by 1297 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: rolled aluminum output up in January-August 2016

In January-August Russia increased primary aluminum output by 1.5% YoY, with aluminum-based alloys output up by 11.8%.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, aluminum foil output dropped by 12.4%, but that of rods and sections went up by 2.6%, plates, sheets, strips and bars – by 13.2%. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: state miners see no wages

As of September 21, salary debts to the employees of the state coalmining companies have reached 550 million UAH, according to the energy and coal industry minister Igor Nasalik.
