Russia: BMK modernizes roller furnace

Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works has modernized the roller furnace in the rolling shop.

This will improve the rolled metal quality and decrease expenses.

The furnace is used to heat the billets to 1050 degrees C before rolling.

Ukraine: coal mining down in July 2017

Coal mining in Ukraine (not taking into account the temporary occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the ATO zone) in July decreased by 26.9% YoY, to 1.9 million tons.

Ukraine: Lvivugol gets 30 million UAH for salary

On August 21 Lviviugol received 30 million UAH from the coal sale.

The money was spent to pay July salary to miners.
