In 2016 Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works, a part of Mechel, increased its net profits 3.7-fold, to 14.978 billion rubles, hitting a record in all its history.

In 2016 Magnezit (refractories manufacturer from Chelyabinsk region) received 37.87 million rubles of net profits, as opposed to 115 million rubles of losses in 2015.

The company revenue in 2016 increased by 2%, to 6.29 billion rubles.
