Ukraine: ferroalloys output down in August 2016

In August Ukraine produced 83.1 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 9.9% MoM, or by 9.1 thousand tons.

According to Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-August Ukraine produced 665.2 thousand tons of ferroalloys, up by 6.9% YoY, or by 42.7 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ZALK and ZTMK to be privatized

The State Property Fund has compiled a list of state assets for privatization and is busy working out its terms.

Ukraine: Dneprovsky Works to construct a new unit

Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works plans to construct an efficient air separation unit.

According to the company statement, this will allow it to stop using old and outdated units.

Ukraine: long rolled metal export-import in August 2016

In August Ukraine exported $153.07 million worth of long rolled metal, while imports totaled $14.12 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main consumer of Ukrainian long rolled products in August was Russia ($23.23 million).

In January-August Ukraine exported $1127.52 million worth of long rolled products, with imports at $94.02 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Lugansk region miners paid 25 million UAH of salary debt

Lisichanskugol and Pervomayskugol miners have been paid 25 million UAH of salary debts.

According to the regional administration press-service, money was transferred after the regional head Yuri Garbuz had talks with the state enterprise Derzhvuglepostach. Lisichanskugol received 10 million UAH, while Pervomayskugol was paid 15 million UAH for the coal mined. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: flat-rolled metal export-import in August 2016

In August Ukraine exported $191.12 million worth of flat-rolled metal, while imports reached $60.29 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia was the main importer of Ukrainian flat-rolled metal in August ($48.33 million).

In August Ukraine exported $208.07 million worth of steel semi-finished products, with imports at $1.46 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, in August the main consumer of Ukrainian flats was Egypt ($81.59 million).
