Ukraine: Metinvest-SMC to supply construction material to Ukrzaliznytsia

Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) has chosen Metinvest-SMC to supply 25.4 thousand tons of construction materials worth 616.05 million UAH.

In particular, the railroad intends to buy 25435 tons of sections, encased piles and construction elements of railroad and tramways of hot-treated steel. Metinvest-SMC has to deliver the products by the year-end. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: EMSS to supply rolls to Denmark

Energomashspetsstal has signed an agreement with AH Industries to supply 18 rotor shafts to be used in wind turbines.

The total weight of the shafts will reach 159.3 tons. The rolls will be supplied in August. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works to repair BF9

Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works plans to stop its blast furnace No. 9 for capital repairs on June 25.

According to the company statement, the repairs will last for 1 month.

The overhaul will see the replacement of 46 cold kilns, charging equipment, notch plugging and breaking machine and the kiln shell. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ZZF ferroalloys output up in May 2016

In May Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant produced 24.4 thousand tons of ferroalloys, up by 1.6% MoM, or by 0.4 thousand tons.

According to the company statement, in January-May it produced 110.6 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 13.1% YoY, or by 16.7 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: coke output down in May 2016

In May Ukraine produced 1131 thousand tons of 6% moisture bulk coke, down by 0.3% MoM, or by 3 thousand tons.

Ukraine: manganese output up in May 2016

In May Ukraine produced 84.7 thousand tons of manganese concentrate and sinter, up by 43.2% MoM, or by 36.6 thousand tons.

According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-May manganese concentrate and sinter output decreased by 46.1% YoY, or by 221.8 thousand tons, to 259.6 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: manganese ore export-import in May 2016

In May Ukraine imported $8.07 million worth of manganese ore, while imports reached $0.1 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, in May Ukraine imported mostly from Australia ($2.85 million).
