Ukraine: Interpipe Steel output down in January-May 2019

In January-May, Interpipe-Steel decreased steel output by 1% YoY, to 401 thousand tons.

In particular, in May the company produced 91 thousand tons of steel, up from 88 thousand tons in April.

Ukraine: court starts bankrupting DTEK enterprise in occupied Donbass

The Commercial court of Donetsk region has decided to start the proceedings on the bankruptcy of the DTEK Komsomolets Donbassa Mine.

On May 15, 2017 DTEK reported the loss of control over its enterprises in the Russia-supported terrorist-occupied territories.

Russia: Rosterminalugol exports 10 million tons of coal

In early June, Rosterminalugol exported its 10-millionth ton of coal since the start of the year.

The anniversary ton was loaded on the Redmer Oldendorff (Post-Panamax).

This was the 141 vessel loaded this year.

Ukraine: Azovstal shuts down BF6 for repairs

Azovstal Iron and Steel Works has shut down its blast furnace No. 6 for capital repairs.

Its modernization will improve its efficiency, lower manufacturing prime cost and decrease dust emission by 55%.

Russia: Alfa-Bank cuts stake in Polymetal

Alfa-Bank has reduced its stake in Russian precious metals producer Polymetal International by 0.03% to 4.98%, the bank said in a statement on June 11.

Russia: CherMK commissions coil-rewinding machine

Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has assembled and put into operation an APR-650 coil-rewinding machine with the capacity of 650 thousand tons per year.

The machine is scheduled to reach its design capacity in Q3.

Over 30 jobs have been created.
