Russia: Sibcable starts producing mine cable according to new requirements

Sibcable has started producing the HoldMine mine cable, which corresponds to the new requirements of Rostechnadzor.

The new requirements dictate using mine cables with improved characteristics.

Russia: KUZOTsM deliveries to machine-builders up

Kamensk-Uralsk Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Works has increased sales to Russian machine-building companies.

In January-August sales grew by 1.5 thousand tons, or by 71% YoY.

Rolled brass and copper account for 90% of sales, rolled bronze share is 8%.

Kazakhstan ready for consultations with Ukraine in WTO over duties on steel pipes

Astana is ready to hold consultations with Kiev regarding antidumping duties on certain types of steel pipes imported from Ukraine in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). “Kazakhstan is ready to hold consultations with its Ukrainian colleagues. Russia: Rosterminalugol exports 140 million tons of coal

Since its commissioning in 2003 Rosterminalugol has exported 140 million tons of coal.

The 130-millionth ton was exported on May 15, on the port’s birthday.

The anniversary 140-millionth ton was loaded onto Rixta Oldendorf bulker (Post-Panamax), which took onboard over 111.3 thousand tons of coal. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Korolevsky Pipe Works to shut down

Because of the limitation of steel coils supplies from metal works, Korolevsky Pipe Works intends to shut down its manufacture from October 15.

In October the company will produce 15 thousand tons of pipes. The decrease will affect all pipes sizes, produced at the works. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: SMS group to deliver ladle furnace to AMT

SMS group will supply a 290-ton ladle furnace to ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

The company will also supervise the assembly and commissioning of the new complex.

The cost of the machinery is not disclosed.
