Russia: Zabaikalye metals output up in January-August 2016

In January-August mining companies of Zabaikalye region mined 7772 tons of gold and 30657 tons of lead concentrate, up by 14.45% and 20.15% YoY respectively.

According to the Ministry of natural resources and industrial policy of the region, zinc concentrate output, on the other hand, dropped by 2.45% YoY, to 4.89 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: energy ministry coal department gets new director

Alexander Vladychenko has won the competition for the office of the Ministry of energy and coal industry coal department director.

Previously he worked as the general director and the chairman of the supervisory board of Belozerskaya mine, deputy director and chairman of Mine Group Donbass as well as the executive director of Ukrexpert. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Evraz Sukhaya Balka ore output down in January-August 2016

In January-August Evraz Sukhaya Balka produced 1.86 million tons of iron ore, down by 1% YoY.

In August iron ore output totaled 327 thousand tons, up from 232 thousand tons in July.

In 2015 Evraz Sukhaya Balka produced 2.81 million tons of iron ore, down by 2.7% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Interpipe-Steel output up in January-August 2016

In January-August Interpipe-Steel produced 401 thousand tons of steel, up by 1.5% YoY.

In August the works smelted 45 thousand tons of steel, down from 53 thousand tons in July.

Ukraine: EMSS to produce equipment for ISD Dunaferr

Energomashspetsstal has concluded a contract to produce machinery for ISD Dunaferr (Hungary).

EMSS will produce 5 slag ladles with the volume of 11 cubic meters. The weight of the lot will be 82 tons. The products will be shipped to the buyer in November.
