In 2016 Poltava Mining and Processing Works doesn’t plan any firings.
In January Ukraine exported $123.93 million worth of steel semi-finished products, with imports on the level of $0.78 million.
The ferronickel works has suffered another attack. Unknown people tried to block the company operation. This is not the first raiders attempt to influence the operation of Pobuzhye Ferronickel Plant.
Dneprovskoye Mine Group has put into operation two new long faces with the total reserves of coal on the level of 930 thousand tons. This will let the miners work till the end of the year.
One of the largest Ukrainian iron ore miners and concentrate producers – Vostok-Ruda hasn’t been paying for consumed electricity since April 2015. The company’s electricity debt is now 20.2 million UAH.
In October and November 2015 Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after Dzerzhinsky received $2.5 million of losses each month, and $6 million in December.
In January scrap deficiency for local consumption totaled 105 thousand tons, or 40% of the volume needed (267 thousand tons).
