Three miners died in a mine in Kryvyi Rih due to a collapse of a bucket used to lower and raise workers.
Two more miners are currently missing. This was reported by People’s Deputy Mykhailo Volynets.
The accident occurred on August 26.
Emergency rescue operations at the mine in Kryvyi Rih have been completed. Rescuers found the bodies of three miners at a depth of 1,568 meters and raised them to the surface.
According to the mine rescue service, the workers were injured after falling from a height of more than 40–50 meters.
The search operation lasted for about eight hours – approximately from 05:00 to 12:00.
The mine rescuers found the body of one worker on the technological bridge, two more were under water. Their bodies were unblocked by divers and raised to the surface.
The search and rescue operation involved 29 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment. (Ukrainian Metal)
