A meeting was held at the headquarters of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant (AGMK) to summarize the plant’s performance in 2025 and identify priority tasks for 2026.
The meeting was attended by management, department heads, and specialists.
Speaking at the event, Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, noted that the plant’s workforce had fully met all production forecasts for 2025. Specifically, the volume of output exceeded 51 trillion sums, representing 119% of the forecast. It was also emphasized that copper production volumes in 2025 increased by 140% over a nine-year period compared to 2016.
In addition to meeting production targets, the plant actively implemented investment projects during the reporting year. For example, on March 27, 2025, the first concentrate was produced at Copper Concentrator No. 3, and the first process line, supplying copper concentrate to the smelter, was commissioned.
Furthermore, in 2025, one rotary kiln was commissioned at the lime plant, and two rotary kilns were commissioned at the rare metals production shop. Construction of a new explosives plant was completed and commissioned.
During the meeting, it was noted that the AGMK team would ensure the achievement of all planned production targets in 2026. Priorities include bringing the MPF-3 process lines to full design capacity, commissioning sulfuric acid shop No. 6 at the zinc plant, and the gold recovery plant for processing ore at the Kauldy mine.
Key objectives also include commencing the active phase of construction of a new copper smelter, continuing construction of MPF-4 with a design capacity of 60 million tons of ore per year, constructing a lime plant in the Jizzakh region with a capacity of 737,000 tons of product per year, and increasing the processing capacity of MPF-2 to 5 million tons of ore.
Particular attention will be paid to increasing production volumes, modernizing facilities, widely implementing artificial intelligence in management processes, developing new technologies, reducing production costs, ensuring the rational use of energy resources, and improving the environmental situation.
Following the meeting, relevant instructions were issued to responsible officials in accordance with established procedures. It was emphasized that achieving the set goals directly depends on the responsibility and involvement of each plant employee. (MetalPortal)
