In January-May, Kazakhstan produced 1.624 million tons of raw steel, down by 9.4% YoY.

In May, output dropped by 1.4% YoY, to 331,785 tons (358,994 tons in April).

The share of carbon steel in May output was 3,663 tons (3,146 tons in April), down by 51.2% YoY. In 5 months, the share decreased by 6.3%, to 17.68 thousand tons.

Kazakhstan also produced 486 tons of alloyed steel (385 tons in April), down by 2.5% YoY. In January-May, output grew by 11.6%, to 2.2 thousand tons.

Manufacture of rolled metal in 5 months decreased by 4%, to 1.023 million tons, with 160,772 tons produced in May (223,033 tons in April), down by 8.3% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
