In January, Zaporizhstal decreased rolled metal manufacture by 5.1% MoM, to 196 thousand tons.
Pig iron output dropped by 1.7%, to 261 thousand tons. Steel production grew by 3%, to 235.5 thousand tons.
Compared with January 2023, pig iron manufacture increased by 56.9%, steel – 2.6-fold and rolled metal – also 2.6-fold.
The growth in manufacture was due to the operation with three blast furnaces since March 2023. (Ukrainian metal)
