Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC Chairman of the Management Board Kubat Abdraimov visited Togolok gold deposit on a working trip, where he reviewed the progress of mining operations, geological exploration and infrastructure construction.
According to the company, Abdraimov held an on-site meeting at the open pit with the management of Kumtor Gold Company and its subsidiary Kumtor Operating Company. The meeting focused on the current pace of development of the deposit and the next stages of the project.
Kubat Abdraimov noted that Togolok was of particular importance to the development of Kyrgyzstan’s mining industry, as the project was being implemented using the company’s own funds and relying on domestic specialists.
“We are building a new production facility from scratch using our own resources and specialists. This is a major responsibility, and every stage of this work must be carried out professionally and to a high standard,” he said.
Following the meeting, Abdraimov instructed officials to ensure strict compliance with environmental requirements and industrial and technical safety standards, meet the approved project deadlines, and provide proper working conditions for employees.
During the visit, Abdraimov also launched construction of a gold recovery plant in Sary-Bel area and placed a time capsule in the foundation of the future facility.
“Today, new production facilities are being created in Kyrgyzstan, laying the foundation for the country’s industrial development for years to come. May this plant also become a reliable and long-term project that contributes to economic development and people’s well-being,” the Kyrgyzaltyn chief said. (24kg)
