Kazakhstan: AMT invests $1.3 million in special machinery purchase

Within its investment program ArcelorMittal Temirtau purchased special machinery valued at around $1.3 million for its Orken-Kentobe mine.

In particular 4 new BelAZs have been put in operation.

“The lifting capacity of the new machines is 55 tons. They have an increased passability and are completely computerized”, Orken-Kentobe transport director Sergey Shlepkin said. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: AMT invests $9 million in galvanizing shop modernization

For a couple of years now ArcelorMittal Temirtau has been modernizing its hot-galvanizing and aluminum plating shop.

In 2016 investments exceeded $4 million.

In 2018-2019 the modernization will continue.

During the modernization period, 8 investment projects have been realized aimed at improving quality of products, efficiency and decreasing environment impact. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: EMSS supplies large batch of rolls to AMT

Under the contract with ArcelorMittal, Energomashspetsstal has supplied a batch of supporting rolls for rolling mills to Kazakhstan.

263.23 tons of rolls have been produced for the ArcelorMittal Temirtau 1700 hot-rolling mill, as well as for 1400 and 1700 cold-rolling mills. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: SMS group to deliver ladle furnace to AMT

SMS group will supply a 290-ton ladle furnace to ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

The company will also supervise the assembly and commissioning of the new complex.

The cost of the machinery is not disclosed.

Kazakhstan: AMT fined for 36 million tenge

ArcelorMittal Temirtau has ordered the services of mining coal and loading it into railroad cars, but has not paid the contractor over 36 million tenge.

Kazakhstan: AMT invests 3 billion tenge in sinter machine No. 3 repairs

ArcelorMittal Temirtau has put into operation its sintering machine No. 6 after an overhaul.

The company spent some 3 billion tenge on repairs.

The overhaul was carried out in 75 days.
