Kazakhstan: AMT produces 200 million tons of pig iron

On January 10 ArcelorMittal Temirtau produced the 200-millionth ton of pig iron.

The blast furnace No. 1 was put into operation on July 3, 1960.

At present the plant operates 3 blast furnaces employing 370 people in the shop. (Ukrainian metal)

Kazakhstan: AMT to resume operation by December 10, 2018

ArcelorMittal Temirtau intends to have completely resumed operation by December 10.

Some shops have already resumed operation after a major pipelines accident on November 10.

The key task is to launch the converter shop.

Ukraine: EMSS manufactures products for Kazakhstan

Energomashspetsstal has shipped another batch of slag ladles to ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

The batch included 3 slag ladles with the total weight of 67.6 tons.

Each ladle has the volume of 16 cubic meters.

Kazakhstan: AMT sued for environment legislation violations

The Department of ecology of Karaganda region has sued ArcelorMittal Temirtau for violation of the environment-protection legislation.

The unscheduled inspection of the works revealed a number of violations. In particular, the company air pollution exceeded the allowed limits.
