Gold mining has begun at Buchuk site of Solton-Sary gold deposit, the head of the Geology Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan Rustam Beishen uulu has announced.
According to him, the volume of investments is about 900 million soms. According to the forecast, it is planned to mine about 2 tons of gold per year there.
The Ministry of Natural Resources notes that the development of this site will provide the local population with work and increase the flow of funds to the local budget.
Currently, about 300 people work there. Rustam Beishen uulu clarified that the number of workers could increase to a thousand. (24.kg)
