In January-August, Kazakhstan decreased non-ferrous metals output by 2.7% YoY.

The decrease was mostly due to the seasonal drop in orders and a scheduled reconstruction of a technological line at the Kusmuryn mine of Kazakhmys and capital repairs of a copper plant of Kazzinc.

As a result, lead production fell by 19%, zinc – by 6% and refined copper by 14%.

At the same time, gold output grew by 3% and silver – by 1%. (Ukrainian metal)
