In 2025, Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhkoks and Metinvest Machinery (former name – Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant) – transferred almost 4 billion UAH in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine, 34% more than in 2024.
The lion’s share of deductions is the payment of a single social contribution and personal income tax, environmental tax and military levy. As a reminder, in April 2025, Metinvest increased salaries for employees of manufacturing and service enterprises, including in Zaporizhzhia, by 20%, which further increased the base of tax revenues from enterprises.
Metinvest Group companies are consistently among the largest taxpayers in Zaporizhzhia: last year, over 1.2 billion hryvnias were transferred to local budgets, which is 19% more than in the same period in 2024. Despite the difficult economic situation, Metinvest and its companies in Zaporizhzhia additionally implement educational projects, support the development of veteran policy in the city, the rehabilitation of veterans and active soldiers, participate in the restoration of infrastructure damaged by shelling, etc.
“The taxes paid by our companies today are a real resource for the strength of the state and local communities. During the full-scale war, Zaporizhzhia Metinvest companies sent over 11.6 billion hryvnias in taxes to the state treasury. These revenues are an opportunity to support the work of the city’s social infrastructure, which ensures the life of Zaporizhzhia despite the proximity of the front, constant enemy attacks and the losses they entail. In wartime, paying taxes is not a formality, but a direct contribution to the country’s resilience, its ability to survive and recover today,” emphasized Acting General Director of Zaporizhstal, Hero of Ukraine Taras Shevchenko.
Including associated companies and joint ventures, in 2025 Metinvest transferred UAH 18.7 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. In total, over almost four years of full-scale Russian invasion, the group paid about UAH 74 billion in taxes, which strengthens the economic capacity of the state in conditions of full-scale war.
