The industrial port of Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has started the 2018 navigation.
The first vessels with metal will head to St Petersburg, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Taganrog and Nizhny Novgorod.
The warehouses stock some 40 thousand tons of metal.
The warehousing territory has been increased by one third.
In 2017 the CherMK port throughput was over 4 million tons of metal. This year it is planned to handle 4.3 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
