Kazakhstan-based company Ushtagan Refinery plans to build a gold processing plant at the Ushtagan deposit in the Pavlodar region, according to the regional Department of Subsoil Use, Environment, and Water Resources.
The planned investment totals 22.5 billion tenge ($50 million).
The facility is expected to produce 861 kilograms of gold annually.
Construction is scheduled to begin in November, with project completion set for October 2027.
The company first announced plans to build the gold processing plant in May 2025.
At that time, construction was slated to start in the second quarter of 2026 and finish in early 2028. (Logistan)
