In January-August, Ukraine increased exports of semi-finished steel products by 67.3% YoY, to 1.31 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in August exports totaled 198.49 thousand tons, down by 9.5% MoM, but up by 63.1% YoY.
Average monthly exports this year amounted to 163.23 thousand tons, up from 97.55 thousand tons last year.
The main customers this year were Bulgaria with 428.31 thousand tons in January-August and 51.27 thousand tons in August (-25.7% MoM), Egypt with 214.55 thousand tons and 65.96 thousand tons (-19.9%), Turkiye – 120.1 thousand tons and 15.2 thousand tons (-58.9%) and Poland – 103.61 thousand tons and 2.02 thousand tons (-56.5%).
Export revenue in January-August grew by 58.1% YoY, to $649.16 million, while in August dropped by 8.7% MoM, but increased by 76.8% YoY, to $99.88 million. (Ukrainian metal)
