Russia: Polyus gold output up in Q3 2018

The gold production of Russia’s Polyus increased by 15% QoQ, to 691,200 ounces in July-September, the company said in a statement on October 16.

In January-September the output rose by 14% YoY, to 1.8 million ounces.

Sales amounted to $2.112 billion at the average price of $1.275 per ounce. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Evraz ZSMK steel sales down in September 2018

In September Evraz ZSMK sold 323 thousand tons of metal, down by 39% YoY.

According to the railroad statistics, in 9 months sales grew by 4.1% YoY, to 4.78 million tons.

Deliveries to Russian customers reached 1.47 million tons, down by 6.2% YoY, while exports grew by 9.4%, to 3.31 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: CherMK railroad sales down in September 2018

In September Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works sales totaled 520.7 thousand tons, down by 2.7% YoY.

According to the customs statistics, in January-September sales reached 5.97 million tons, up by 4.6% YoY.

Deliveries to Russian customers dropped by 0.5% YoY, to 4.1 million tons, while exports grew by 17.8%, to 1.87 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Izhstal output up in January-September 2018

In January-September Izhstal produced 328 thousand tons of metal, up by 3% YoY.

The largest increase was in the manufacture of bars and steel sections – 9% and 19% respectively.

Deliveries to machine-building companies grew by 23%, and they accounted for 25% of all sales.

The share of car manufacturers was 17%. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: gold output in Khabarovsk region up in January-September 2018

In January-September Khabarovsk region extracted 19176 kg of gold, up by 8.4% YoY.

Alluvial gold accounted for 3907 kg and ore gold – 15268 kg, up by 2.8% and by 9.9% respectively.

Silver output dropped by 4.8%, to 44.687 tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Interpipe Steel output up in January-September 2018

In January-September Interpipe Steel increased steel output by 13.7% YoY, to 738 thousand tons.

According to a company representative, in September production totaled 77 thousand tons.

Round billets output in 2017 was 850 thousand tons, up by 38% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
