In January-August Uralelectromed produced 31 thousand tons of copper sulfate, up 1.6-fold YoY.

The output increase has to do with the favorable market situation, flexible marketing policy of the company and the constant replacement of equipment.

Russia: Ukhtageoservis suspends gold harvesting in Komi

Ukhtageoservis LLC has suspended operations at alluvial gold sites in Komi, because it resulted in polluting water with suspensions.

The company has been fined for 918 thousand rubles.

Russia: Kuzbass coking coal output up in January-August 2017

In January-August Kemerovo region mined 159.5 million tons of coal, up by 7.6% YoY.

In August output dropped by 1.5% YoY, to 20.3 million tons.

Coking coal accounts for 26.3% of 8-months output, or 41.9 million tons.

Coal sales totaled 136.5 million tons, including 92.9 million tons shipped for export. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: CherMK finishes BF1 repairs

Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has finished the capital repairs of its blast furnace No. 1.

The cost of the repairs was some 1.8 billion rubles. The work has been carried out 9 days earlier.

The repair lasted for 33 days. The work prolonged the BF1 operation by at least 7 years. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Zapadnaya Coal Company mines 390 thousand tons of coal

In January-August the Zapadnaya Coal Company mined 390.6 thousand tons of coal at the Krutoyarsky site of the Konstantinovskoye deposits, up 2.5-fold YoY.

This year the company intends to yield 450 thousand tons of coal. Thus, so far the target has been 87% complete. (Ukrainian metal)

In January-August Sakhalin region mined 4.7 million tons of coal, up 1.4-fold YoY.
