In November Ukraine exported $184.36 million worth of flat rolled metal, with imports on the level of $54.13 million.
In November 2014 Ukraine exported $61.28 million worth of pig iron, with imports on the level of $0.45 million.
State enterprise Ukrpormvneshexpertisa expects Ukrainian export of iron ore raw materials in 2015 on the level of 41.5 million tons.
In November Ukraine exported $196.35 million worth of long rolled products, with imports on the level of $18.38 million.
Ferrexpo said its output went down in December 2014 due to limitations of electricity supplies to its companies. Spot sales of iron ore also fell. If things don’t change in Q1 2015, Ferrexpo will choose long-term contracts as its priority.
State enterprise Ukrpormvneshexpertisa forecasts Ukrainian steel output in 2015 on the level of 27 million tons.
Metallurgprom association forecasts steel output on the level of 1.9 million tons in January.
