In 2017 Krasniy Octyabr produced 37.48 thousand tons of stainless steel, while Zlatoustovsky Electrometallurgical Works – 17.48 thousand tons.

Ukraine: 175 miners evacuated from DTEK Pavlogradugol mine

There was a heavy smoke in the Pavlogradskaya mine of DTEK Pavlogradugol.

According to the company statement, 175 employees were evacuated.

The smoke arose as the cable caught fire. The fire was soon extinguished.

In 2017 Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Works increased net profit by 80% YoY, to 27.09 billion rubles.

Revenue exceeded 78.73 billion rubles, up by 37% YoY.

Russia: Mechel commissions new long face at South Kuzbass mine

Mechel has put into operation a new long face 0-17-16 at the mine named after Lenin, a part of the South Kuzbass coal company.

The reserves of the long face are estimated at 650 thousand tons of coking coal. Its length is 200 meters.

Russia: Moscow court keeps ISD CEO arrested

The Basmanniy Court of Moscow has prolonged for 3 months the arrest of the Industrial Union of Donbass CEO Oleg Mkrtchan accused of embezzlement.

Mkrtchan will be under arrest until July 5.
