Russia: half of pipes for Nord Stream-2 produced

Metal companies have produced a half of pipes for the Nord Stream-2 pipeline.

Now the pipes are being covered with concrete.

According to the contract Russian companies will produce 1.3 million tons of pipes, or 60% of the total volume. (Ukrainian metal)

According to World Steel Dynamics Inc., two Russian companies entered TOP-5 of the most competitive steel companies of the world.

37 companies participated in the research.

Severstal was placed second with 7.79 points, while NLMK, fifth last year, went up one position.

Russia: Energy Ministry forecasts coal exports growth in 2017

The Ministry of energy expects coal exports to grow by 6.3-9.4% YoY in 2017, to 175-180 million tons.

In 2016 Russia exported 164.6 million tons of coal, up by 8.7% YoY.

Russia: CherMK sets new manufacturing record

Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has set a new manufacturing record making 75 smeltings on two converters in one shift.

The new schedule on smelting has been prepared with the help of manufacture and orders planning department.

Russia: Severstal certifies rebars to Latvian standard

Severstal has received the certificate that the V550V steel for concrete reinforcement with the diameter of 10-32 mm produced by Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works meets all requirements of the Latvian state standards LVS 191-1:2012 and LVS 191-1:2012/AS:2015.
