Ukraine: mining sales up in January-August 2017

In January-August sales of industrial products (goods and services) totaled 1.354 trillion UAH, up by 25.95% YoY.

According to the State Statistics Service, in August sales in mining and quarrying industry increased by 28.8% YoY, with exports up by 27.6%.

Metal output accounted for 17.8% and mining for 15% of the total volume. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Ferrexpo pellets output down in January-September 2017

In January-September Ferrexpo, controlling Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Processing Works, produced 7.652 million tons of pellets, down by 8.1% YoY.

Russia: gold output up in H1 2017

Russian gold output increased by 5.93% YoY, to 122.3 tons in January-June, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on October 4 citing data on supplies to gold refineries. Kazakhstan: Kostanay region to start mining coal

The Kostanay region has started implementing the project to mine coal at the pit No. 2 of the Kushmurunskoye deposits.

Investments are expected on the level of 209.5 billion tenge, and the site will be developed for 45 years.

Overall coal output will reach 188.2 million tons.

Russia: Electrozinc resumes operation

On September 30 Electrozinc finished the repair of its zinc manufacture and resumed operation at the main shops.

During the repairs a new sanitary discharge pipe was assembled at the sulfuric acid shop.

Russia: Amur region mines 2.4 million tons of coal

In January-September Amur region yielded 2.4 million tons of coal.

Amursky Ugol carries on its program to modernize mining and transport machinery. Thus, new bulldozers appeared at Yerkovetksy and Severo-Vostochniy pits.

In 2018 the program will continue.

Kosogorsky Iron and Steel Works increases ferromanganese sales to the local market and abroad.

In 9 months sales increased by 5.2 thousand tons YoY.
