Ukraine: Zaporizhstal repairs BF No. 3

The department of the State Architectural-Construction Inspection in Zaporozhye region has accepted the reconstruction of the blast furnace No. 3 of Zaporizhstal.

Reconstruction allowed increasing the blast furnace capacity to 1050 thousand tons of pig iron per year.

The size of the reconstruction site is 8.5 hectares. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Azovstal blows up blast furnace

Azovstal Iron and Steel Works has initiated explosion works to disassemble a blast furnace.

“The blast furnace No. 3 disassembly is carried out within the reconstruction project”, the company informed.

Russia: Profil-Akras output up in August 2017

The Profil-Akras Pipe Works produced 20.2 thousand tons of pipes in August.

Deliveries to customers totaled 17.5 thousand tons, including 4.1 thousand tons for exports.
