Russia: ChMK starts producing beams for industrial shops

Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works, a part of Mechel, has started producing two types of construction beams.

The new beams (45B1 and 45B2) are used in construction of industrial buildings, warehouses and trade premises. So far the company has shipped over 200 tons of beams to local customers. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: SevGOK to pay 1.8 billion UAH of dividends

The shareholders of the Severniy Mining and Processing Works, a part of Metinvest, intend to spend 1.8 billion UAH on paying dividends for 2016 from the net profit of 3.61 billion UAH.

The dividends will be paid as 0.77643 UAH per ordinary share.

Russia: aluminum output down in January-February 2017

In January-February primary aluminum production decreased by 3.7% YoY, but the output of aluminum alloys went up by 7.7%.

Ukraine: Russia stealing 10 thousand tons of coal a day

On March 1-20, over 3.4 thousand wagons with coal passed the border with Russia, according to the statistics data of the Russian Railways.

Kazakhstan: copper and zinc output down in January-February 2017

In January-February Kazakhstan decreased copper cathodes and raw zinc output by 3.3% and by 1% YoY respectively.

According to the Statistics committee of the Economy Ministry, raw steel output went up by 8.6% YoY.
